Finish Year Update: February
Welcome to February! 2012 is already flying by. At the beginning of each month I plan to post a quick update on my Finish Year goals. I want to create some accountability for myself but also encourage you to stick to your goals for this year.
1. Lose weight. After 4 weeks I’ve lost 5 lbs. My goal for the month of January was 10 lbs. so not the greatest start. Time to get serious.
2. Run 3 races. I haven’t registered for any races yet but I have picked out several that I hope to participate in. The Riverbend Run (5k) in June, the Warrior Dash in September and the Atlanta Marathon Relay in October (assuming we can confirm a team – I’m not running the thing by myself!).
3. Read 50 books. I actually read 6 books in January. Three of them were the Hunger Games books and they are technically written for teenagers…but they are still books.
I had also set a goal for just the month of January – spring cleaning. I had a list of about 20 projects – cleaning baseboards and such – to do around the house. Thankfully I did finish all of these projects. My back is killing me and my hands are sooooo dry. If I never see a bucket of soapy water again it’ll be too soon.
The plan for February is to lose another 10 lbs., read another 4 books and potty train Mikayla. (YIKES!)
