Christmas Tea

One of my favorite things at Christmas is drinking Christmas Tea. This is a tradition passed down from my mother. Only my mom always called it Russian Tea. When Mike and I first got married he insisted that since there was nothing “Russian” about it we would call it Christmas Tea. Every year at Thanksgiving we make our first pot of Christmas Tea and then enjoy it all through December. When the season’s over we put away the ingredients to save them for the next year. This way you have something to look forward to…or so my mom always said. ๐Ÿ™‚
First thing in the morning I pour some tea in the coffee pot to heat up. That way it stays warm all day. The ingredients:
1 c Pineapple Juice
1/2 c Lemon Juice
4 Tblsp Instant Tea
1 c Tang Instant Drink Mix
1 3/4 c Sugar (can put more or less to taste)
UPDATE: Add enough water to make 1 gallon.

Works best if you mix it in a pitcher or jug that can be shaken before you pour it. Empty milk jugs work great or a mix n stir pitcher from Pampered Chef.

Just in case it's not clear to some… you mix enough water to make a gallon. ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm glad you enjoy the tradition no matter what you want to call it.
